What We Believe

THE BIBLE

The Holy Bible as contained in the old and new testaments is true and inspired of God and is the full and final authority on all issues pertaining to life (2 Timothy 3:16)

GOD & THE TRINITY

There is one true Holy GOD, creator of all things and eternally existing in three persons - Father, Son and Holy Spirit; each of who possesses equally all the attributes of deity and characteristics of personality (Matthew 28:19)

JESUS CHRIST

Jesus is the eternal second person of the trinity who became human by miraculous conception and virgin birth (Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:18-25), was crucified for our sins (Romans 3:25, 1 John 2:2), bodily raised from the dead and ascended into heaven where he sits at the right hand of God as our High Priest (Hebrews 4:14) and Advocate (1 John 2:1)

THE HOLY SPIRIT

The Holy Spirit is the eternal third person of the Trinity who indwells and empowers all believers for Godly living and service (John 7:37-39, 14:15-17, 26)

REDEMPTION OF MANKIND

All human beings, though created in the image of God to reign over His creation (Genesis 1:26), are born sinners (Psalm 51:5) as a result of the fall from grace (Genesis 3, Romans 3:23) and can only be saved by personal repentance and faith in God through Jesus (Romans 3:24-25)

WATER BAPTISM

Water Baptism by immersion of the new believer in water symbolizes death to sin and resurrection to a new life in Christ Jesus (Romans 6:4-10)

SPIRITUAL GROWTH

That a genuine saving and daily growing relationship with Jesus Christ will result in a life of HOLINESS and OBEDIENCE to God's Word and the overcoming and abundant life promised by God for every believer (Romans 8:37, John 10:10)

THE COMMUNION

The Holy Communion is a celebration of the sacrificial death of Christ and His anticipated return to earth, providing the believer with power to live victoriously everyday (1 Corinthians 11:23-34)
